SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, August 6, 2026. – The Dominican Republic moved one victory away from making history at the Central American and Caribbean Games after defeating Puerto Rico 3-0 (25-21, 25-15, 28-26) in the women’s volleyball semifinals of the 25th Central American and Caribbean Games Santo Domingo 2026. The Dominicans will face Colombia in the gold medal match, marking only the second time in Games history that the two countries will meet in the final. Venezuela Advances Directly to Semifinals After Defeating Guatemala

GUATEMALA CITY, Guatemala, August 6, 2026.- Venezuela advanced directly to the semifinals of the Boys’ U17 Pan American Cup after defeating Guatemala 3-0 (25-21, 25-15, 25-20) at the Multi-Sports Dome in Guatemala City. Venezuela secured its place in the semifinals and will have a rest day on Friday, August 7, when the quarterfinals will be played. The United States will face Guatemala at 4:00 p.m., while Costa Rica will take on Canada at 6:00 p.m. Venezuela remained ahead on the scoreboard throughout the match.
