Lucarelli MVP of Men’s Pan Am Cup
MEXICO CITY, Mexico, August 25 2013 - Brazilian Ricardo
Lucarelli was recognized as MVP of the VIII Men’s Pan American
Cup, while Dominican Elvis Contreras took the honors as Best
Scorer and Best Spiker. Mauricio de Souza from Brazil was named Best Blocker, while
Taylor Sander from USA received the plaque as Best Server. The
honors as Best Digger went.

Brazil is back on top of Pan American Volleyball
MEXICO CITY, Mexico, August 24, 2013.- Brazil returned to the
top of the Americas’ volleyball as the team coached by Leonaldo
Roberley won the gold medal at VIII Men’s Pan American Cup after
beating host team Mexico 3-0 (25-21, 25-20, 25-17).
Isac Viana Santos was the best scorer for Brazil with 13 points
while Mauricio Luiz De Souza registered 12.

Dominican Elvis Contreras joins exclusive club
MEXICO CITY, Mexico, August 24, 2013 – Dominican Elvis Contreras
joined on Saturday the exclusive club of players who have scored
30 or more points in a single game of the Men’s Pan American
Cup.
Contreras, who had exactly 30 points in the victory of Dominican
Republic over Trinidad & Tobago in the match for the sixth
position, became the fourth player.

Argentina wins Bronze medal at Men’s Pan Am Cup
MEXICO CITY, Mexico, August 24, 2013.- Agustín Ramonda scored 26
points and Ezequiel Palacios 22 for Argentina, that beat Puerto
Rico 3-2 (25-18, 22-25, 25-18, 20-25, 15-12) in the match for
third place on saturday.
Along with Ramonda and Palacios, Gustavo Vaca registered 17
points.
