Lisvel Eve named MVP at Women’s Final Four Cup
HAVANA, July 7, 2015 – Lisvel Eve Mejia, was named the Most
Valuable Player of the NORCECA Women’s Final Four Cup held at
the Sports City Coliseum where her Dominican Republic team and
Cuba clinched the two tickets available for the World Cup in
Japan.
Cuban Melissa Vargas, the top scorer of the competition, and
Puerto Rican Aurea Cruz were the two Best Outside Hitters while
Cuban Daymara Lescay and Canadian Lucille Charuk made the
All-Star Team as the two Middle Blockers.

Dominican Republic and Cuba to FIVB World Cup
HAVANA, Cuba, June, 7, 2015 – Cuba defeated Dominican
Republic 3-1 (22-25, 25-18, 25-13, 25-23) on the final day
of the NORCECA Women’s Final Four Cup as both teams secured
the available berths for the World Cup in Japan, the first
Olympic qualifying event. With two triumphs in the
tournament and a total 10 points.

Ricans outclass Canada in 3 sets
HAVANA, Cuba, June 7, 2015 – Puerto Rico did not give Canada any
breaks en route to a straight-set 3-0 (25-21, 25-17, 26-24)
victory in the last day of the NORCECA Women’s Final Four
Champions Cup on Sunday.
With a solid block, the Puerto Ricans took the initiative all
the time and even in the third set they were able to come from a
two-point deficit at the set point (22-24) thanks to an
impressive 4-point rally.

Cuba overcomes Canada in exciting match
HAVANA, Cuba, June, 6, 2015 - The young Cuba team claimed a
crucial victory over Canada 3-1 (21-25, 25-11, 25-22,
25-23) to keep alive their hopes of qualifying to the World
Cup at the NORCECA Women’s Final Four Champions Cup. Unlike
yesterday’s match where the local team was beaten by Puerto
Rican 3-1, the Cuban offense was better distributed today.

short step away from qualifying to the FIVB World Cup after
defeating Puerto Rico in straight sets (28-26, 25-20, 25-15)
in day two of the NORCECA Women’s Final Four Volleyball
Champions Cup. Their second victory, which lasted only 90

Havana to host NORCECA Women’s Final Four
HAVANA, Cuba, June 2, 2015 – The NORCECA Women’s Final Four
Champions Cup will take place at Ciudad Deportiva Coliseum of
Havana from June 5 to 7 with two tickets available for the FIVB
World Cup, the first qualifying event to the 2016 Rio de Janeiro
Olympic Games. The four non-qualified top ranked teams from
NORCECA - Dominican Republic, Cuba, Puerto Rico and Canada- will
play under a single round-robin tournament.
