Aruba Girls to represent CAZOVA at YOG
 

ORANJESTAD, Aruba, July 08, 2018 - The CAZOVA (Caribbean Zonal Volleyball Association) Youth Olympic Beach Volleyball Qualifier closed off, at Eagle Beach Oranjestad, Aruba.

On Sunday morning a then winless Haiti who finished third in Group A defeated the second place team from Group B US Virgin Island 18-21, 21-11 & 15-4. In the other quarter final Aruba also of Group A swept passed Group B’s Jamaica 21-4 21-13.

In the Semi-final the undefeated Group A winner Trinidad and Tobago played Haiti and Suriname, the Group B winner played Aruba. The both group winners capitulated in the Semi-finals. Haiti won 21-12 & 23-21 versus Trinidad and Tobago and Aruba rolled over Suriname 21-9 21-9 to set up an unexpected final.

Trinidad and Tobago whilst very sadden by their only lost, was able to defeat Suriname to take the bronze medal 21-13 21-8.

Aruba made easy work of their final opponents, beating Haiti 21-14 21-6 to take the converted prize of a trip to Argentina in October for the Youth Olympic Games.
