Barbadian Oxley cops second straight U-21 MVP

 

RIVIERE-SALEE, Martinique, December 13, 2019: Akeel Oxley, captain of Barbados won his second straight "Most Valuable Player" award after leading his team to a record fourth straight crown at the 2019 Caribbean Zonal Volleyball Association.

 

 (CAZOVA) Junior (Under-21) Men Championship at the La Ville de Riviere-Salee Palais Des Sport.


Oxley also walked away with the "Second Best Outside Hitter" award while his countryman Nathan Crawford-Wallis copped the "First Best Outside Hitter" accolade.


Barbados, just as they dominated their opponents, was also the picked of the teams in the individual awards with Alexander Odie "Best Opposite Hitter", and Christopher Best picking up the "Best Digger" and "Best Libero" awards.


Otherwise, Guadeloupe's Damien Leveille won the "Best Scorer", his team-mate Isaac Valetudie "Best Setter", Trinidad and Tobago's Marley Davidson "Best Server" and Josiah Constant "Best Middle Blocker #1), while Curacao's captain, Joshua Van Henneigen, "Best Receiver.
