Beach Volleyball has registered a tremendous growth in Norceca

 

TIJUANA, México, January 12, 2015 -  Beach Volleyball has been an activity with a fast and tremendous growth in the Norceca area. Proof of that have been the Continental Tour as well as the participation of Confederation teams at the II Youth Olympic Games of Nanjing 2014.

 

The Beach Volleyball Commission began its works after the arrival of the members that analyzed the activities of 2014 and began to take new agreements for this new season. “This is a very interesting agenda that covers everything we need for a good development. It is unbelievable how fast beach volleyball has grown to reach a significan position,” said Norceca President Cristobal Marte Hoffiz.

 

Some small countries from Norceca have reached new horizons and have got such a great projection. “We have shown that during the Yourh Olympic Games of Nanjing 2014 with Saint Lucia,” Marte added.

 

“Results are there, so fast, since we began to work eight years ago,” he added. During the first day of the Beach Volleyball Commission activities the work report of the Continental tour was presented. This tour registered several dates in Mexico, Canada, the United States, Central America and some parts of the Caribbean like Cayman Islands, Dominican Republic, Cuba or Puerto Rico, among other countries.

 

“We have spent three years with 10 or more tournament in our region. This is a big achievement, so we must go on working hard for this. The beach commission is everyone of us and the members in our different countries are part of such a great effort,” Puerto Rican Arnaldo Sanchez, President of the Commission, said.

 

“It is hard and tough, but we love it. We work hard all together to have a very successful season, and in the end, you can notice the work and we do our  best to have a successful tournament in each country,” Sanchez also stated.

 

Meanwhile, Norceca  Indhira Ramirez, Beach Volleyball Coordinator, exposed: “The Continental tour has helped us to give olympic eligibility to our athletes, and it also allows them to grow up and develop along with their national federations. We have a vision and a mission for that.”
