Canada name World Grand Prix squad

 

   

WINNIPEG, Canada, May 10, 2016 – Canada head coach Arnd Ludwig has named a squad of 27 for their upcoming FIVB World Grand Prix and NORCECA Pan Am Cup campaigns. 

 

Canada will play in Group 2 this year and begin their campaign in Poland from June 3, 4, 5 where they face the host nation, Puerto Rico and the Czech Republic. The following weekend they will travel to the Czech Republic to play the Czech Republic, Dominican Republic and Bulgaria. 

 

The World Grand Prix Group 2 final takes place in Plovdiv, Bulgaria on June 18 and 19 and they will then compete in the NORCECA Pan Am Cup takes place in Santo Domingo from June 30 to July 11. 

 

“We are excited about the good mix of veteran players and a lot of new talent coming up through the system,” Ludwig said. “We’re excited to be back training at the centre in Winnipeg, and it’s with renewed enthusiasm that we will be preparing for the FIVB World Grand Prix next month.”
