Comments:

Dusan Bonacic, captain Chile: “We didn’t expect to finish this way the preliminary round, it wasn´t in our plans to be first in our group. After the first match against Dominican Republic, then facing United States, we said to ourselves we are set for big things. Today was the match that sealed first place for us, winning 3-0 and showing our development”.

Daniel Nejamkin, coach Chile: “We played very well, it was a good match; we had more errors in serves as we expected. It was an exceptional preliminary round for us, we had never finished undefeated as group winners, I hope it will become on a daily basis for us. We finish pool-play highly motivated”.

Reider Lucas, coach Guatemala: “We did not reach our goal, we didn’t perform as expected, and our attitude was too low. We were aware that we were facing a solid team like Chile, won of the most consistent teams in the tournament. We couldn’t keep our game rhythm and hopefully for what’s left we can find the best possible position”.
