Close battle in the women’s field at U21 AFECAVOL

CIUDAD GUATEMALA, Guatemala, July 13, 2019 - At the end of the group stage of the U21 XII Central American Sub Beach Volleyball Championship, Guatemala 1 (Paola Alvarado/Laura Quiñonez), Nicaragua 1 (Lourdes Lugo/Anielka Alonzo), and El Salvador 1 (Gabriela Funes/Laura Villalobos), are the leaders of their respective groups.

In the quarterfinal phase, the Guatemalan couple will face Honduras 1 (Shanna Rivera/Reer James), while the Nicaraguans will face the two pair from Honduras (Celine James/Aura Cruz), meanwhile the Salvadorans are going to play against the couple from Guatemala 2 (Ana Arévalo/Joselyn Muñoz) that was classified as one of the best third.

The last quarterfinal key will face the two Costa Rican couples, finishing second and best third of their respective groups.

The games begin ON Sunday at 9 in the morning with the match between Guatemala 1 and Honduras 1.
