Coaches Course Level II Concludes in Santo Domingo
SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, December 17, 2012 – An
International Coaches Course Level II took place from December
3-15 at the FIVB Regional Development Center in Santo Domingo.
The course was under the direction of Luis Muchaga with
Francisco Hervas as instructor, both from Spain.
A total of 16 participants from 10 different countries received
theoretical and practical instructions about different aspects
of volleyball, including strategy and the proper training of the
athletes at different levels of age.
During the course the President of NORCECA, Cristobal Marte
Hoffiz , explained the participants the continental development
plan for the next Olympic cycle and encouraged them to share
their experiences with other coaches of their countries.
The participants were from Brazil, Costa Rica, Curacao,
Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Nicaragua,
Saint Vincent & Grenadines and Trinidad & Tobago.
Brazil’s Alexandre Ceccato received a special recognition as the
participant who received the higher notes during the course.
Nelson Ramirez, director of the Development Center in Dominican
Republic, said this activity concluded a very tight program
carried out in 2012 while congratulating all the coaches that
participated in the successful course. |
