Delfins Beach Resort happy to host NORCECA Tour in Bonaire

KRALENDIJK, Bonaire, September 27, 2019 - Once the NORCECA
Beach Volleyball Tour Circuit has plans of returning to the
scenic limestone island of Bonaire, then they will be able
to depend on Delfins Beach Resort as being at the forefront
					of hosting athletes and officials.

This was stated by Holland-born David Rietveld, the General
Manager of Delfins Beach Resort as he looked on a few
matches of the inaugural tournament of the NORCECA Beach
Volleyball Tour hosted by the Bonaire Volleyball Federation.

Rietveld, who has been with the establishment since it was
constructed on the island almost six years ago noted that
when the Bonaire Volleyball Federation first came to him
with the idea of hosting the athletes, officials and having
the tournament at the resort it felt like a no-brainer.

He said,” I told them that having the event would be very
important for the island and we have to make it happen as it
would be a win-win situation for all involved.

“It will give international exposure to the island while
promoting the resort as well and at the same time showing
the world that we can be a destination for sports tourism
and we are not only able to host diving, wind surfing and
kite surfing events, but beach volleyball can be added to
					that list as well.”

“I was here at the start of the hotel five years ago when we
introduced beach tennis, so now is the time for beach
volleyball to make its mark on the island I truly believe”.

Rietveld noted that growing up in the sport loving country
of Holland he was always involved in sports, especially
outdoor sports and looking ahead he will gladly love to host
the event at Delfins Beach Resort as it helps to promote the
sport in its best form and a great ready-made venue while
giving international exposure to the resort as well”.

He boasted “As you can see the sand is of a very high
quality as we imported it from French Guiana and once we
continue to work hand in hand with the volleyball officials
here on the island we will aim to maintain a high standard
					playing facility.

Feike ¨Postma, who has the responsibility of Food and
Beverage at the Delfins Beach Resort added, “Around this
time of the year is normally our low period in terms of
visitors arrival, so having the players and officials come
to our resort works in our favour as well as the guest also
have the chance to see international volleyball right at
					their door step”.
