Dominicans to defend title in AAU Championships

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, June 20, 2019 – The Dominican Republic U20 National Team will take part in the AAU 2019 National Championships as two-time defending champions of the International Division.

The event will take place at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. The Dominican team claimed the title in 2017 and 2018 and is preparing for the FIVB U20 World Championship in Mexico.

Wagner Pacheco is the head coach of the team with Cristian Cruz as his assistant coach. Agripina Martinez is the team delegate and Cesar Villalona the therapist.

The teams registered to participate in this division are: Australia, Brazil, China- Hothot, China-Tieli, Colombia-Pony, Colombia-Voyager, Germany, Puerto Rico, Slovenia and Dominican Republic.

The Dominican Republic’s roster is the following:
