Dr. Graça encourage leaders to attract people to volleyball

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, October 24, 2020 – FIVB President Dr. Ary S. Graça F° encouraged the members of NORCECA Confederation to continue working hard in the promotion of volleyball and beach volleyball in their region.

The FIVB President pronounced the opening words of the XXV NORCECA Congress inviting the National Federations to use the development platforms available in FIVB while underlining the contributions of the institution to NORCECA NF since the nucleus project was launched.

He also said volleyball leaders in each country need to use their imagination to attract people to volleyball events.

The FIVB President also praised the Dominican Republic as a county from the Caribbean whose women’s volleyball team has been among the top ten in the world rankings for several years thanks to hard working and good management.

He also pointed out that Mexico, a country of the NORCECA region, will host one of the age-group world championships scheduled to take place in 2021, specifically the Girls’ U18.

Dr. Graça also spoke about the successful marketing efforts carried by FIVB in the past few years compared to the past and also the use of television and new media to promote the sport of Volleyball and Beach Volleyball.
