El Salvador hosts VCP Refereeing Course

SAN SALVADOR, El Salvador, April 25, 2015 – A Refereeing Course under the FIVB Volleyball Cooperation Programme took place in San Salvador from April 20 to 24, supervised by Juan Angel Pereyra of Argentina.

Twenty participants -14 men and 6 women- took part in the course organized by the National Volleyball Federation of El Salvador.

The national federation, under the presidency of Oscar Valdez, is committed to keep the new group of referees in constant activity while aiming to increase year after year the number of individuals specialized in the refereeing field.

“We are very grateful to the International Volleyball Federation for sponsoring this VCP course in our country,” Valdez said before the presentation of certificates to all participants at the closing ceremony. “To have a technician like Mr. Pereyra working with our referees make us very proud.”

The opening and closing ceremonies of the course as well as some of the theoretical and practical sessions were covered by TV channel 33.
