Electronic scoresheet webinar organized by VIS and Stats Commission

MANAGUA, Nicaragua, May 19, 2020 – A webinar for the use of the electronic sheet was organized in Nicaragua on May 18 by Judith Sandino, president of the VIS and Statistics Commission of NORCECA.

Instructors of the seminar were Claudia Rivera and Yeivic Jiménez and 29 participants joined from Antigua, Belize, Costa Rica, Curacao, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Puerto Rico, St. Lucia and Venezuela.

The participants included Mr. Cristobal Marte Hoffiz and José Luis Jimenez Lao, NORCECA’s president and secretary, respectively, national and international referees, supervisors, members of the VIS and Stats Commission and local VIS operators.

Rivera made a presentation of the software installation and operation and handling of the electronic scoresheet while Jimenez commented about Problems and Solutions of the Electronic Scoresheet as well as Use of Tablets & Volleyball Scoreboard.

The objectives of the webinar included to capacitate the national and international referees in how to use the electronic scoresheet of FIVB, homologate the procedures before, during and at the end of the match and to implement the application of tablets in our competitions.
