Ezequiel Palacios of Argentina the Most Valuable Player at Pan

CORDOBA, Mexico, September 2, 2018. - Ezequiel
Palacios of Argentina was named the Most Valuable Player of the
thirteenth Men’s Pan American Cup the finished on Sunday at the
Arena Cordoba in Cordoba, Mexico.
Argentinean Ezequiel Palacios received the award
as Most Valuable Player “MVP” during the awarding ceremony after
his team beat Brazil in thrilling five sets, earning their
second champion in a row; Palacios was also awarded as the Best
Spiker
Also from the two time champions, Matias Sanchez
earned the prize as Best Setter with 9.74 average per set.
From the silver medalists Brazil, Alan Souza
received the awards for Best Opposite and Best Scorer with a
total of 93 points, and Flavio Gualberto was the Best Middle
Blocker.
Cuban Yonder Garcia received three recognitions
as Best Libero, Best Digger and Best Receiver. Also from Cuba,
Miguel Angel Lopez was the Second Best Spiker and Roamy Alonso
the Second Best Middle Blocker.
The Best Server was David Wieczorek of United
States.
