FIVB Executive Committee looks ahead to future of the Federation
SHARM EL SHEIKH, Egypt, May 2, 2018 – The FIVB Executive
Committee met today to review the performance of the
International Federation, as well as look at new initiatives and
innovative proposals ahead of the Board of Administration
meeting.
The FIVB Executive Committee focused on the latest financial
reports, changes to the FIVB regulations and the proposals of
the Commissions, in order to provide the necessary
recommendations to the FIVB Board of Administration.
During the meeting, FIVB President Ary Graça said:
“We are very pleased to be invited by the city of Sharm El
Sheikh to hold our meetings in this beautiful location. The city
is called the city of peace, our sport is the sport of peace –
so we see a great combination here.
“For the FIVB the future has already begun, it is now! We base
all our work on the principles of good governance and strong
management. These are fundamental to the continued growth of the
FIVB.”
As the world’s number one family sport, transparent and
effective governance of the FIVB is critical to ensure that
volleyball delivers a world class experience for both the
athletes and fans.
All financial reports were
approved at the Executive Committee. Commission proposals were
reviewed before being presented to the Board of Administration
meeting that will be held in Sharm El Sheikh from May 3-4, 2018. |
