RIMINI, Italy, June 9, 2021 – Iran defeated
United States at the FIVB Men’s Volleyball
Nations League, by claiming a straight set
victory 3-0 (25-19, 25-23, 25-23) on Wednesday.
The Iranians improved their record to 5-1 while
the Americans are evened at 3-3.
The winners led in blocks (7-6), aces (5-1) and
attacks (44-37) while the Americans made two
errors less than the Iranians (19-21).
Saber Kazami with 19 points and Meisam Salehi
with 14 were the Iranians who reached double
figures in the scoring charts.
Benjamin Patch and Garrett Muagututia finished
with 14 and 12 points, respectively, for the
