Marte Hoffiz to participate in TTO Webinar

 

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad & Tobago, June 18, 2020 – The Centre for Sport & Recreation at the University of Trinidad & Tobago has organized a cycle of webinars on several topics starting on June 25.

 

1st Vice President of FIVB and NORCECA President, Cristobal Marte Hoffiz, Mushtaque Mohammed, President of Trinidad and Tobago Volleyball Federation and Senior Sports Officer at the University of Trinidad and Tobago, together with Jaime Lamboy, President of FIVB Legal Commission will all contribute in the series of seminars.

 

“The purpose of the webinars is to engage the sporting fraternity and like-minded citizens in conversations of athlete development and the development of sport in the twin island Republic,” Mohammed said.

 

The first of the webinars will cover the theme of Sport –A vehicle for National Development will have as its main panelist the President of the Norceca Volleyball Confederation Cristobal Marte Hoffiz who is also the First Executive Vice President of FIVB and former Minister of Sports of the Dominican Republic.

 

Other panelists are Olympic athlete Cleopatra Borel, Larry Romany, former President of the TTO Olympic Committee, Clayton Morrison, Men’s Football Coach at the UTT and Leroy Pierre, Sport Coordinator of the University of Southern Caribbean. The moderator is Ian Pritchard, Senior Manager of Sports and Recreation at UTT.

 

 

 

 

The webinars will last 90 minutes, starting from 20:00 to 21:30.

  • Sport Law and Drugs in Sport – Thursday 16th July

  • Gender Equality in Sports – Thursday 23rd July
