NORCECA adjusts working time due COVID-19

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, March 19, 2020 - The North, Central American and Caribbean Volleyball Confederation (NORCECA) has readjusted the staff and service hours of its employees from this Thursday until April 13, attending to recommendations of the Government of the Dominican Republic, where are its premises.

The measure has to do with the outbreak of Coronavirus or COVID-19 that affects the daily lives of inhabitants in at least 160 countries, including the site country of NORCECA.

According to the decision, the departments of the Presidency, National Federations, Sports Events, Development, Work Commissions, Beach Volleyball, Info & Technology, Finance, Press & Communications and Support Personnel will work on Monday, Wednesday and Friday in the hours from 10 in the morning to 4 in the afternoon. On Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays said personnel will work remotely from their homes.

Some vulnerable and sensitive employees will be permanently working from home for the duration of the restriction period.

Regarding the transportation of personnel, the necessary measures have been adopted so that it is carried out in personal vehicles, sharing with other colleagues in order to avoid mass public transportation.
