Plantinga/ Wheelan advance to quarterfinal

BOQUERON, Puerto Rico, August 5, 2016 - The Canadian duo of Michael Plantinga/Cameron Wheelan advanced  to quarterfinals after winning his two matches in Pool A of the NORCECA Beach Volleyball in Boqueron.

Plantinga/Wheelan defeated Orlando Irizarry/Juan C. Ribas from Puerto Rico (21-17 , 21-9 and later beat Marty Lorenz/Adam Roberts (USA) 22-24, 21-19, 16-14 .

The other Canadian team, Cristian Redman/Felipe Humana-Paredes had split results in two matches of the Pool round. They were defeared by James Drost/Kevin Kulioske of USA (21-15, 21-11). Then they defeated Brayan Monge/Sebastian Valenciano from Costa Rica ( 21-15, 21-18).

The top two teams from each pool advance to the quarterfinals which will be played on Saturday afternoon.
