Referee Laforest passes away in Puerto Rico

 

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, February 5, 2020 - With great sadness we have received the news of the death from cancer of our friend Puerto Rican referee Edgar Laforest.

 

For many years we had the opportunity to share with him many national and international events.

 

He was undoubtedly a referee of excellent technical level in our Confederation and we all always agreed on his personality to face each game.

 

“Those of us who had the joy of knowing him very directly in his daily work know that it was all love for his family and a very good friend,” said countryman and former referee Roy Velez.

 

We will always remember Edgar as a dedicated Referee and a sport lover for what was his passion but also as the gentleman he was in all circumstances.
