Sarai Alvarez MVP of Week 6 in PR 

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico, March 5, 2019 – A perfect week for Indias de Mayaguez took them to third place in the standings and their iconic player Sarai Alvarez led the offense to claim the honors as Most Valuable Player of Week 6 of the Puerto Rican Women’s Superior Volleyball League.

The Indias gained the third position with 20 points (7-8) with victories over Aibonito, Toa Baja and Caguas.

Álvarez had a well productive week after taking some games of rest due to a sore back. The attacker had 65 points (57 with attacks, five with blocks and three via aces) besides 44 digs.

Besides the honors as MVP of the week, the all-time leading scorer of the league (modern era) with 4,710 points was part of the ideal team as opposite hitter.

The rest of the Ideal Team is completed by setter Wilmarie Rivera (Amazonas de Trujillo Alto), outside hitters Karina Ocasio (Criollas de Caguas), Gabriela Colón (Mayagüez), middle blockers, Shannon Torregrosa(Mayagüez), Neira Ortiz (Polluelas de Aibonito) y and líbero, Debora Seilhamer (Aibonito).
