Second gold of 2014 circuit for Mexico in Boqueron

Boqueron, Puerto Rico, September 21, 2014 - Bibiana Candelas and Martha Revuelta Mexico 1, captured his second Gold Medal of the season 2014 in the NORCECA beach volleyball circuit in a tough championship battle  in three set 19-21, 21-15, 15-10 and the Mexican won in 52 minutes ending ehe hopes of winning a title of youth USA 1 team Sarah Hughes and Kelly Claes this Sunday at the eighth event of the NORCECA beach volleyball circuit VIII, developed at Beaches of Boquerón.

The action got underway on the morning of Sunday with the women's semi-finals. Bibiana Candelas and Martha Revuelta faced Irene Hester / Caitlin Ledoux with a triumph for the Mexican pair in two sets (21-14, 21-12).

In another semifinal American Sarah Hughes / Kelly Claes, team 1, faced the Canadians 2 Kacie Mactavish and Caleigh Whitaker who battled in three set 21-18, 16-21 and 15-6.

For Candelas/ Revuelta, it was his second Gold Medal of the season, the third as a couple on the tour as well as Bibiana added his 11th Crown in the history of the tour.

"We are very happy because last year we are left with the desire of gold and this year if you gave us more in Boquerón, where Puerto Rico always welcomes us warmly." "Thanks to the volunteers who helped us and the cheers of support as if we were from home" said Martha Revuelta.

The bronze medal was in the hands of the Canadian Mactavish / Whitaker, who defeated the USA-2 Hester / Ledoux in two set 21-19-25-23

USA-1 Hughes/ Claes  def. CAN 2- Mactavish/ Whitaker  (21-18, 16-21, 15-6 :47 mn)

MEX- Revuelta/ Candelas d. USA-2 Hester/ Ledoux  21-14, 21-12 :38 mn).

Bronze Match:

CAN 2- Mactavish/ Whitaker  d. USA-2 Hester/ Ledoux  (21-19, 25-23 :48 mn).

Gold Match:

MEX- Revuelta/ Candelas d. USA-1 Hughes/ Claes  (19-21, 21-15, 15-10 :52 mn).
