Young Players VCP course in Barbados

LAUSANNE, Switzerland, May 7, 2013 – A successful VCP course for young players was held in Barbados from April 16 to 20.

There were an equal number of girls and boys in the group of 30 players selected to join the programme. The course was led by instructor Jeff Alzina, a former volleyball and beach volleyball player and USA team coach who regularly assists the National Volleyball Federation of Barbados and the Development Centre with its talent programme.

The course included structured training programmes on beach volleyball basics and tactics to help players develop their skills.

The objective of the FIVB Young Players Course is to foster budding talent and to motivate youngsters' future participation in the sport of volleyball at the national and international level.
