Six Women’s Pairs Remain Undefeated on Day 1 of the Punta Cana Tour

PUNTA CANA, Dominican Republic, October 23, 2026 – Representatives from the Dominican Republic, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Cuba, the United States, and Canada finished the opening day of the eighth stage of the 2026 NORCECA Beach Volleyball Tour, currently underway on the beach in Punta Cana, with undefeated records. In Pool A, the Dominican pair of Julibeth Payano and Crismil Paniagua defeated Honduras Shanna Rivera and Daphnie Smith 2-0 (21-12, 21-14), while their other scheduled match resulted in a bye. Meanwhile, T’ara Austin and Taylor Buckner of the U.S. Virgin Islands also defeated Rivera and Smith 2-0. More Español

Men’s competition gets off to a tight start at the Punta Cana Tour

PUNTA CANA, Dominican Republic, October 23, 2026 – Six men’s pairs—representing the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, and Cuba, remained undefeated at the start of the eighth leg of the NORCECA Continental Beach Volleyball Tour, currently being held on the sand courts set up on the beach in Punta Cana. In Group A, the Dominican duo of Hayerling De Jesús and Oscar Martínez won their match against the Honduran pair of Irvin Reyes and Jairo Gálvez, 2-0 (21-14, 21-13), while their other scheduled match resulted in a bye.
