NORCECA Confirms Beach Volleyball Teams Qualified for Asunción 2025

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, October 10, 2024 .- Following the conclusion of the qualification system for the second edition of the Junior Pan American Games to be held in 2025 in Asunción, Paraguay, NORCECA confirms the teams qualified for Beach Volleyball. Thanks to efforts of the Pan American Volleyball Union (UPV) with the Pan Am Sports organization, it was confirmed that Beach Volleyball at Asunción 2025 will feature 16 teams per gender, equally distributed between the NORCECA and South American (CSV) Confederations; 8 teams per gender for each Confederation.  More Español

USA Wins Women’s Gold in U23 NORCECA Tour in Punta Cana   

PUNTA CANA, Dominican Republic, October 9, 2024. - The USA pair Isabella Martínez/Ella Connor defeated the Dominican duo Crismil Paniagua/Darlenys Olivo 2-0 (21-8, 21-15) to win the gold medal at the NORCECA U23 Beach Volleyball Continental Tour held at Los Corales Beach in Punta Cana. Martínez and Connor (USA) advanced to the gold medal match after defeating the Cuban duo Amanda Drik and Mileidy Paret 2-0 (21-17, 21-11) in the semifinals, while Paniagua and Olivo (DOM) overcame Costa Rica’s Laura Molina and Aliza Aguilar 2-0 (21-19, 21-19). The Cuban pair Drik/Paret won the bronze medal over Costa Rica’s Molina/Aguilar 2-1 (19-21, 24-22, 16-14).   More Español

Panama Defeats Honduras on Opening Day of AFECAVOL U21

CHITRÉ, Panama, October 11, 2024.-  Panama defeated Honduras 3-0 (25-20, 25-13, 25-20) on the opening day of the 20th AFECAVOL U21 Men’s Central American Championship at the Papa Francisco Gymnasium. The host team led in attacks (29-24), blocks (10-1), and aces (7-2). Panama committed 26 errors, while Honduras had 29.

Panamanians David León and Kendrieck Newby each scored 11 points, with Víctor Pérez adding 8. More Español

Belize Defeats Nicaragua in Dramatic Finish at AFECAVOL U21 Tournament

CHITRÉ, Panama, October 11, 2024.- In a dramatic finish, Belize defeated Nicaragua 3-0 (25-15, 25-21, 29-27) to start the 20th AFECAVOL U21 Men’s Central American Championship at Papa Francisco Gymnasium in Chitré, Panama. Nicaragua lost three set points in the third set on a kill from Kaelen Ingram and a Belizean error. Despite Kenneth Martínez managing to tie the set at 27 points for Nicaragua, Ingram, along with Eleazar Mejia, sealed the victory for Belize with their attacks. More Español

Guatemala Opens AFECAVOL U21 with Straight-Set Victory

CHITRÉ, Panama, October 11, 2024.- Guatemala kicked off the 20th AFECAVOL U21 Men’s Central American Championship with a straight-set victory 3-0 (25-23, 26-24, 25-22) over El Salvador at the Papa Francisco Gymnasium. Guatemala topped in attacks (45-39) and serving (3-2), benefiting from 24 opponent errors compared to their 18. El Salvador dominated in blocking (10-4). Mexico U23 Men’s Pan American Cup Champion

PARAMARIBO, Suriname, September 21, 2024 .- Mexico was crowned champion of the 2024 Men's U23 Pan American Cup after winning the gold medal match 3-1 (25-16, 27-25, 21-25, 25-13) against Peru at the Anthony Nesty Sporthal in Paramaribo, Suriname, on the final day of competition.
