“Juju” from Brazil Named MVP at the
2025 Junior Pan American Games
ASUNCIÓN, Paraguay, August 15, 2025 – Brazil’s middle blocker and
team captain, Julliana De Andrade “Juju,” was named Most Valuable
Player (MVP) of the women’s volleyball tournament at the II Junior
Pan American Games Asunción 2025, which concluded at the Arena of
the Paraguayan Olympic Committee (COP) after Brazil claimed its
second consecutive undefeated championship.
Juju, who also received the Best Blocker award, was a key factor in
Brazil defending its title and finishing the tournament with a
perfect 5-0 record.
Her teammate Ana Luiza Rüdiger was honored as the Second Best
Attacker, while Heloise “Helo” Soares received the award for Best
Setter.
The tournament’s Best Attacker was Cuba’s team captain, Whitney
James, and her teammate Lianet García earned the Best Server award.
Katielle Alonzo of the Dominican Republic, bronze medalists, was
recognized as Best Opposite, while Alondra Tapia took home the award
for Best Scorer of the tournament.
The Second Best Blocker award went to Argentina’s Maria Victoria
Matich.
Rashanny Solano from Costa Rica was named Best Libero, Best Digger,
and Best Receiver. |
