Venezuela wins gold medal at U-21 Pan Am Cup
PANAMA CITY, Panama, June 27, 2011 – Venezuela won the gold
medal of the inaugural U-21 Men’s Pan American Cup following a
3-1 (25-23, 16-25, 25-19, 25-23) victory over Canada at Roberto
Duran Arena on Monday.
The win completed an undefeated trip for the Venezuelan squad in
five outings during the eight-team competition at the Panamanian
capital.

Chile wins bronze medal at U-21 Cup
PANAMA CITY, Panama, June 27, 2011 – Chile defeated Puerto Rico
3-1 (26-24, 19-25, 25-22, 25-19) to attain the bronze medal in
the U-21 Men’s Volleyball Pan American Cup.
Vicente Parraguirre and Domenico Giuria each totaled 16 points
while Tomas Parraguirre and Dusan Bonacic finished with 12
apiece for the winning side.
Jose Ribas topped Puerto Rico with 15 points while Noah Marrero.

Mexico overcomes Dominican Republic in five sets

come-from-behind five-set victory over Dominican Republic to
take fifth place in the U-21 Men’s Volleyball Pan American
