Nicaraguans get most of the awards

National Team received most of the individual awards at the
conclusion of the 2014 FIVB Women’s World Championship First
Round NORCECA H held in Managua.

Nicaragua finish first in Pool H
MANAGUA, Nicaragua, May 20, 2012 – Nicaragua outdueled Guatemala
in five sensational sets (25-15, 22-25, 25-17, 23-25, 15-11) to
claim the top place in the 2014 FIVB Women’s World Championship
First Round NORCECA in the last competition day at Polideportivo
España on Sunday.
Heidy Traña led five Nicaraguans in double figures with 16
points. Lolette Rodriguez and Valeska Hernandez.

Guatemala battle to beat Honduras
Managua, Nicaragua, May 19, 2012 – Guatemala suffered more than
expected to defeat Honduras 3-1 (25-22, 26-28, 25-13, 25-10) in
the second day of the FIVB 2014 Women’s World Championship NORCECA Pool H.
It was the first victory for Guatemala who meets Nicaragua.

Nicaragua opens with a victory
Managua, Nicaragua, May 18, 2012 – Nicaragua defeated Honduras
3-0 (25-14, 25-15, 25-16) in the opening of the 2014 FIVB
Women’s World Championship First Round NORCECA H on Friday
night. Nicaragua relied on the solid attacks of Valeska Hernandez who
registered 13 points and was followed by Captain Claudia Noguera
and Heydi Traña with 8 and 7 respectively.
