Cuban Osniel Rendon, Most Valuable Player of the II Pan America
U-23 Men’s Volleyball Cup
Havana, CUBA, 10 October, 2014: The host Osniel Rendon was
nominated the Most Valuable Player of the Pan America Men’s
Volleyball Cup which finished tonight with the victory of Cuba
and the silver medal for Mexico, both teams reaching the two
available tickets of NORCECA for the WCH, 2015. Osniel, a 2,02 meter-height boy who will turn into 18 years old.

Cuba champion of II U-23 Pan American Men’s Volleyball Cup
HAVANA, Cuba, October 10, 2014 – Cuba won unbeaten the II U-23
Pan American Men’s Volleyball Cup by achieving its sixth
consecutive victory in the final by overcoming Mexico in
straight sets (25-23, 25-14, 25-23) in presence of their fans at

HAVANA, Cuba, October 10, 2014 - Dominican Republic secured the
bronze medal of the II Pan American U-23 Men’s Volleyball Cup by
defeating Guatemala in straight sets (25-18, 25-20, 25-15). For second day in a row, the Dominicans outclassed the
Guatemalans, this time in only 53 minutes and in a match where
outscored the Guatemalans in spikes (33-17) and blocks (13-4);
although Dominicans made a pair of errors more than their rivals

Salvador for third win
HAVANA, Cuba, October 7, 2014 – Cuba beat El Salvador in
straight sets (25-15, 25-17, 25-17) to continue with their
string of victories at the II U-23 Pan American Men’s Volleyball
Cup. The local team did not need all their starting players and only
the outside hitter Abraham Alfonso reached double digits (16),
while the middle blocker Felix Chapman scored nine; and Inovel
Romero had eight, the same total of El Salvador’s top scorer,
the opposite hitter Mauricio Rivas.

All set in Havana for Men’s U23 Pan Am Cup
HAVANA, Cuba, October 3, 2014 – Following the inspection visit
to the competition and training facilities, the members of the
Control Committee of the II Men’s U23 Pan American Cup approved
them to successfully host the event from October 5 to 12 at the
Sport City Coliseum of the Cuban capital.
In the competition venue, totally prepared to receive the five
visiting teams from Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Mexico, EL
Salvador and Trinidad & Tobago, the national local team played
