USA’s Hester and Ledoux triumph in St Lucia
PIGEON POINT, St Lucia, October 18, 2015 – Irene Hester and
Caitlin Ledoux of United States-B were crowned as female
champions at the St Lucia Beach Volleyball Tournament on
Sunday after winning a three-set battle against Costa Ricans
Karen Cope and Natalia Alfaro. The American came from behind
to score a 2-1 (15-21, 21-19, 15-11) victory in 52 minutes
for their second gold medal of the year as they also won the
title at North Bay, Canada.

Crabb brothers claim gold medal in St Lucia
PIGEON POINT, St Lucia, October 18, 2015 – Brothers Trevor
and Taylor Crabb of United States took home the men’s gold
medal at the St Lucia Beach Volleyball Tournament after a
solid 2-0 (21-16, 21-16) victory over Guatemala’s Andy
Leonardo and Luis Garcia on Sunday. The Crabb brothers were
playing in their first NORCECA tournament and didn’t
disappoint as they played good volleyball during the whole
weekend.

USA, Costa Rica and Nicaragua in St Lucia women’s semifinals
PIGEON POINT, St Lucia, October 17, 2015 – The two women’s teams
representing United States at the St Lucia Beach Volleyball
Tournament will square off against each other in the semifinal
phase of the competition that also features a duel between the
Central American teams from Nicaragua and Costa Rica on Sunday.
The four teams won their respective pools with 3-0 win-loss
records after winning their remaining matches on early Saturday.

USA, El Salvador, TTO and Guatemala in men’s semis at St
Lucia
PIGEON POINT, St Lucia, October 17, 2015 – Teams of United
States, El Salvador, Trinidad & Tobago and Guatemala
advanced on Saturday to the men’s semifinals at the St Lucia
Beach Volleyball Tournament, the sixth stop of the 2015
NORCECA Circuit. In Sunday’s semifinals United States will
take on Trinidad & Tobago while El Salvador and Guatemala
will be protagonists of a Central American duel. USA’s
brothers Taylor and Trevor Crabb won Pool B with a 3-0.

St Lucia minister of Sports praises efforts by Louisy
PIGEON POINT, St Lucia, October 16, 2015 – The St Lucia’s
minister for Youth and Sports Shawn Edward praised the
continuous efforts made by the St Lucia Volleyball
Association and its president Brian Louisy for keeping alive
the practice of volleyball in the Eastern Caribbean country.
Edward pronounced his encouraging words during the opening
ceremony of the St Lucia Beach Volleyball Tournament.

Six women’s teams claim two wins on Friday at St Lucia

won their two matches of pool play on the opening day at the
St Lucia Beach Volleyball Tournament, the sixth stage of the
2015 NORCECA Circuit. The two teams representing the United
States and the duos of Antigua, Canada-A, Nicaragua and
Costa Rica all have secured spots in the single elimination
main draw of the competition.
