Broder and Humana-Paredes are
multiple champions in TTO
TOBAGO, November 27, 2016 –
Canadians Melissa Humana-Paredes and Jamie Broder prevailed
over Kimberly DiCello and Summer Ross of United States in a
mouth-watering match to claim the women’s gold medal of the
Trinidad & Tobago Beach Volleyball Tournament, the last
event of the season of the 2016 NORCECA Circuit at Turtle
Beach on Sunday. Humana-Paredes and Broder came back from
one set down to get the three-set victory by scores of
17-21, 21-16, 15-12.

Canadians Schachter and Pedlow win men’s gold in Tobago
TOBAGO, November 27, 2016 – Canadians Sam Schachter and Sam
Pedlow played a consistent game throughout the men’s final of
the Trinidad & Tobago Beach Volleyball Tournament to capture the
gold medal with a 21-18, 21-19 victory over Cubans Nivaldo Diaz
and Sergio Gonzalez on Sunday.
The event was the eleventh and final tournament of the 2016
NORCECA Circuit that included stops in Guatemala, Mexico (2),
Costa Rica.

Duel of Cubans in men’s semifinals in Tobago
TOBAGO, November 26, 2016 – It will be a Cuban duel in the first
men’s semifinal of the Trinidad & Tobago Beach Volleyball
Tournament on Sunday when the final event of the NORCECA Circuit
closes out here.
Nivaldo Diaz and Sergio Gonzalez, owners of three titles this
season and quarterfinalists at the Rio Olympic Games, will face
compatriots Karell Peña.

Exciting semifinal women’s matches in Tobago
TOBAGO, November 26, 2016 – The USA teams of Brooke Sweat/Emily
Day and Kimberly DiCello/Summer Ross will clash each other in
the first women’s semifinal match of the Trinidad & Tobago Beach
Volleyball Tournament, the final stop of the NORCECA Circuit, on
Sunday.
The second semifinal contest will see Cubans Yanisleidis
Sanchez/Lidiannis Echeverría facing Canadians Melissa Humana-Paredes/Jamie
Broder.

Men’s teams from five countries undefeated in Tobago
TOBAGO, November 25, 2016 – Eight male teams –two in each pool-
are undefeated after the conclusion of the first day of actions
at the Trinidad & Tobago Beach Volleyball Tournament, the final
stop of the 2016 NORCECA Circuit on Friday. The two teams of
each United States, Canada and Cuba are joined by the pairs from
Guatemala and Trinidad & Tobago-A.

USA, Canada and Cuba Open with two wins in Tobago women’s event
TOBAGO, November 25, 2016 – Female teams from United States,
Canada and Cuba won their two matches on the opening day at the
Trinidad & Tobago Beach Volleyball Tournament, the last stop of
the 2016 NORCECA Circuit on Friday.
Brooke Sweat and Emily Day of United States-A began their
successful day with a crushing victory 21-0, 21-1 against the
inexperience pair of Rikiesha Leveret and Kenvia Hodge of
Anguilla.

Canadian Jamie Broder to defend title in Tobago
TOBAGO, November 24, 2016 - Canadian Jamie Broder, a two-time
female champion at the Trinidad & Tobago Beach Volleyball
Tournament, is among several past champions competing this
weekend in Tobago where the final leg of the NORCECA Circuit
kicks off on Friday. The defending champion Broder, who was crowned last year and
also in 2013.

Cubans Diaz and Gonzalez go after fourth title in 2016
TOBAGO, November 24, 2016 – Cubans Nivaldo Diaz and Sergio
Gonzalez begin their quest for a fourth title in 2016 when the
last tournament of the NORCECA Beach Volleyball Tournament gets
underway on Friday with 18 teams registered to compete in the
men’s event. Diaz and Gonzalez, who reached the
quarterfinals at the Rio Olympic Games tournament.
