Level I Coaches Course Opens in Santo Domingo
SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, June 10, 2019 - The NORCECA
Regional Volleyball Development Center/FIVB, inaugurated the
International Course for Coaches Level I, which, under the
auspices of the International Volleyball Federation, the NORCECA
Volleyball Confederation and the Ministry of Sports, will be
held from June 10 to 14.
The course has 24 coaches participating from El Salvador,
Honduras, Colombia, Brazil, Costa Rica, Curacao, Turks & Caicos,
the United States, Panama, and the Dominican Republic.
At the opening ceremony, the star of the century Mireya Luis was
present. On behalf of the FIVB and the NORCECA Confederation, I
encouarge the participants to take advantage of the lessons they
will receive in the Course to make volleyball stronger and
stronger in their country.
She also acknowledged the work done by the Regional Center for
the Development of NORCECA / FIVB Volleyball, in benefit of the
training of all the actors involved in volleyball, work that has
put it as the most active Development Center with what the FIVB
counts and recognized Professor Nelson José Ramírez as the
person who makes the most effort in the NORCECA Confederation
and the FIVB so that the Development programs are fulfilled for
the benefit of volleyball.
On his part, Mr. Ángel Rivas, representing the Dominican
Volleyball Federation, welcomed all the participants.
The Course Director Mr. Humberto Rodríguez of Puerto Rico
expressed his satisfaction for being in this course where he
will give the best of his knowledge so that everyone can take
advantage of the teachings and has congratulated the Development
Center for the professional organization of this Course.
At the end of the event, Prof. Nelson José Ramírez said that the
Center will continue working on the training and development of
Volleyball and thanked Mr. Cristóbal Marte Hoffiz for the
support that NORCECA always provides for all the activities
organized by the Center. |
