PONCE, Puerto Rico, June 7, 2026.- In the bronze‑medal match of the 2026 NORCECA Women’s Final Four, Cuba prevailed over Costa Rica 3-1 (25–7, 25–21, 22–25, 25–18). In the opening set, Cuba jumped to a 5–0 lead and never looked back. Their momentum continued as they extended the advantage to 18–0 with an ace by Evilania Martínez Luis. The Caribbean squad closed the set 25–7 after a service error by María Fernanda Alfaro Bolaños. Puerto Rico Rallies Past Cuba for Its Second Victory in the Final Four

PONCE, Puerto Rico, June 6, 2026. – Puerto Rico had to dig deep on Saturday night in the continuation of the NORCECA Women’s Final Four, defeating a resilient Cuba squad. The hosts came from behind in the fourth set to secure the victory, their second in as many matches. The set scores were 20-25, 25-20, 25-13, 25-21. Puerto Rico, displaying strong net play with the match tied at one set apiece, reached set point with a commanding 24-12 lead following a block by Ana Sofía Jusino. A cross-court attack from Valeria Vázquez from zone four sealed the set 25-13, giving Puerto Rico a two-sets-to-one advantage. Mexico Earns Second Victory and Remains Undefeated in Pursuit of the Title

PONCE, Puerto Rico, June 6, 2026.- Mexico recorded its second consecutive victory on Saturday night at the 2026 NORCECA Women’s Final Four, defeating Costa Rica in straight sets at Salvador Dijols Coliseum in Ponce. With this result, the team coached by Nicola Negro remains undefeated and advances to Sunday’s match against Puerto Rico with a chance to claim the tournament title. After taking the first two sets, Puerto Rico started the third with full control, jumping to a 10–4 lead following a kill by Decelise Champion from the left side. The home team continued to build its advantage to 20–9 with an attack by Valeria Rosado, also from zone four. Puerto Rico reached set point with a comfortable 24–11 lead thanks to an effective block and sealed the set — and the match — 25–12 with a back‑row attack by Nataly García. Mexico took control early in the match. After securing the first set, the team dominated the second, building a 22–9 lead thanks to a back‑row attack and an ace by Samantha Bricio. A Cuban attack error sealed the 2–0 advantage. Cuba showed its best rhythm in the third set, improving its play at the net. Two consecutive blocks tied the score at 16. The set remained close through 22–22, but Mexico pulled ahead with two straight points: one from a service error by Jessica Aguilera Carbajal and another from a clean kill by Sofía Maldonado.
