2026 ECVA Senior Men's and Women's Volleyball
Championship Set to Begin in Tortola, BVI
TORTOLA, British Virgin Islands — August 11, 2026,
The Eastern Caribbean Volleyball Association (ECVA) will
officially open the 2026 ECVA Senior Men's and Women's
Championship on Wednesday, August 12, through Sunday August 16,
2026, at the Multi-Purpose Sports Complex in Tortola, British
Virgin Islands.
Ahead of the championship, preliminary meetings were held with
representatives of the eight participating national federations
to outline the rules of competition, match start times, and
other pertinent tournament information. Online preliminaries
were held with St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Dominica, and
Antigua and Barbuda, while in-person preliminaries were held at
the Multi-Purpose Sports Complex with Grenada, Anguilla, the
Virgin Islands, Bermuda, and Saint Lucia.
Technical Meeting was held this evening, Tuesday, August 11,
with all registered federations, at which organizers provided
details on the tournament format and other relevant information
ahead of the start of play.
Competition is set to get underway at 9:00 a.m. tomorrow
Wednesday, August 12, 2026, as national teams from across the
Eastern Caribbean compete for regional volleyball honors.
Members of the public and media are invited to attend the
matches at the Multi-Purpose Sports Complex throughout the
five-day championship.
