Aruba outlast TTO for the Boys prize
ORANJESTAD, Aruba, July 08, 2018 - The CAZOVA (Caribbean Zonal
Volleyball Association) Youth Olympic Beach Volleyball Qualifier
closed off, at Eagle Beach Oranjestad, Aruba.
Earlier in the day US Virgin Islands, who placed second in Group
A defeated the third place team from Group B Suriname 21-9,
21-16. In the other quarter final Jamaica of Group B silenced
Haiti 21-13 21-11.
In the Semi-final the undefeated Group winners Trinidad and
Tobago and Aruba advance easily setting up a show down. Trinidad
and Tobago dismissed the US Virgin Islands 21-10, 21-12 and
Aruba made easy work of Jamaica 21-16, 21-13.
Jamaica defeated US Virgin Islands to take the bronze medals
21-12 21-19.
Aruba played a perfect final, with no unforced errors, not being
able to stop the Trinidad and Tobago attack but they were
scoring just as effectively and capitalizing on the few errors
made by their Caribbean Neighbors. Aruba won 21-19 21-18 to book
their ticket to Argentina for the Youth Olympic Games in
October.
