that they will be hosting major international events in 2018,
also there’s the creation of a technical committee, hiring a
beach volleyball coach who will visit each country periodically
and the pursuit of financial independence.

Championship and El Salvador the Women’s U-20, while Guatemala
will host the Men’s U-23 Pan American Cup; the three events will
be held in 2018.

the evaluate regulations, in addition to conduct a general
technical analysis in Central America was approved. Each
federation will appoint a delegate to be a part of this
committee.
“As sport managers, we must guarantee our standards, the
feedback from those attending the event serve as a measurement
of our work. The organizing committees must follow manuals and
protocols established by the FIVB” said Secretary of AFECAVOL
Jose Luis Jimenez Lao.
Marte Hoffiz said that NORCECA’s development program will
continue to support the itinerant instructors in AFECAVOL; on
this matter he confirmed that Cuban volleyball instructor Justo
Morales and Brazilian beach volleyball instructor Maria Rejane
Cannes will have this responsibility.
New plans for AFECAVOL were presented by Marte Hoffiz: an
Anti-Doping Program in Central America, the Data Volley system
is available to those federations that wish to use this tool,
seven courses will be held in the region (one per country) and a
NORCECA supervisor will be hired in each federation whose task
will be to ensure the implementation of development programs.
Marta Centeno Sajche said “we must set goals, learn to measure
and quantify, that way we will be able to improve results. It is
important to know our reality, where we stand and where do we
want to go, we must plan ahead. NORCECA’s financial aid must be
visualized in each country”.
Cristobal Marte Hoffiz presented the strategic plan 2016-2020 of
NORCECA, to motivate federations in organizing events as an
opportunity, seeking economic independence and setting a plan.
“Hosting a championship is a mean to obtain funds that can be
reused in our sport. I have witnessed Central America’s growth,
you have worked hard and you must continue to do so. Be certain
that your efforts and sacrifices are highly valued, let’s work
together; I assume my responsibility to keep us moving forward”,
said Marte Hoffiz. |
