LA PAZ, Baja California Sur, May 12, 2022 – The
participants in La Paz Beach Volleyball
Tournament, the third stop of the NORCECA
Circuit, went through the regular preliminary
inspections conducted by Canadian Ed Drakich,
the competition director.
The president of the Mexican Volleyball
Federation, Jesus Perales, attended the meeting
and welcomed the participants during the general
technical meeting. He also participated in the
local press conference accompanying the Mexican
players in both genders.
All players complied with the requirements
regarding the uniforms and verification of
nationalities by presenting their respective
passports.
Drakich then conducted the technical meeting,
explaining the system used to determine pool
composition for the double-gender event.
Mexico, the host country will be represented by
three teams in each gender, while Canada and the
United States will have two pairs in each
segment.
El Salvador and the US Virgin Islands will have
two men's teams and one women's team, while
Costa Rica, Guatemala and Puerto Rico will have
one team per gender.
St Kitts & Nevis will field a men's team only
while Trinidad & Tobago and Jamaica will only
field a women's pair. |
