All details completed for Seminar in Tijuana
TIJUANA, Mexico, July 11 2013 - After the arrival of
International Instructor, Francisco Hervas and NORCECA
Supervisor, Lisandra Ramirez, the preparation details for the
International Seminar for Middle Blockers have been completed.
The seminar starts on Friday at the Baja California High
Performance Center with the participants from from Costa Rica,
El Salvador, Haiti, Mexico, Nicaragua, U.S. Virgin Islands,
Saint Eustatius, Saint Kitts and Nevis and British Virgin
Islands.
“This seminar is directed to those who have a solid base and
knowledge about volleyball, but we also want to share this
opportunity with those who are still beginning to get familiar,”
said Hervas during a previous meeting held at the High
Performance Center.
“The course has a theoretical and also a practical phase, we
have some talks and presentations,” he added.
Some subjects like the work on attack, block, counterattack and
studies about the middle blocker position are among the most
important points to be covered.
Along with them there is the analysis of the position itself.
“It is a short course but will give the opportunity to work in
different groups that will be divided, and will have the chance
to follow a video session.”
Along with Hervas and Ramirez, FIVB Finance Commission Member
and Norceca Finance Commission President, Alberto Arreola, also
attended to the previous meeting as well as Mexican Volleyball
and Beach Volleyball referee Vanessa Barriba and Mexican Youth
and Junior Women’s National Teams physical therapist Omar
Hernandez.
The official opening ceremony is scheduled on Friday at 10:00 AM
local time with participation of FIVB and NORCECA
representatives as well as Baja California Sports and Physical
Culture Institute Authorities. |
