Allanis Navas and María González Return

to the Top of the NORCECA Tour

ROATÁN, Honduras, July 12, 2026. – Puerto Rico's Allanis Navas and María González captured the gold medal at the Seventh Stop of the 2026 NORCECA Beach Volleyball Tour, held at Tabyana Beach in Roatán.

The Puerto Rican duo, who made their season debut only at the previous stop in Juan Dolio, where they finished third, needed just their second tournament of the year to claim their first NORCECA Tour title of the 2026 season.

In the championship match, González and Navas defeated Mexico's Susana Torres and Abril Flores in straight sets, 2-0 (21-12, 21-18), controlling the match from start to finish with a solid and consistent performance.

Their road to the title required a remarkable comeback in the semifinals, where the Puerto Ricans rallied from one set down to defeat the Dominican Republic's Crismil Paniagua and Julibeth Payano 2-1 (16-21, 21-11, 17-15).

Torres and Flores reached the final after defeating the U.S. duo Sarah Wood and Taylor Hagenah in straight sets, 2-0 (21-15, 21-11).

The bronze medal went to the Dominican Republic's Paniagua and Payano, who defeated Wood and Hagenah 2-0 (21-14, 21-15).

In the fifth-place match, Costa Rica's Quesada/Ramírez defeated Canada's Cudmore/Roskic in straight sets, 2-0 (21-16, 21-13).

Nicaragua's López/Lolette claimed seventh place with a 2-0 (21-16, 21-7) victory over Guatemala's Alvarado/Mendoza.

In the ninth-place match, the U.S. Virgin Islands' Austin/Bennett defeated Honduras' Rivera/Hynds 2-0 (21-19, 21-14).

Honduras' Murillo/Rodríguez finished eleventh after rallying to defeat El Salvador's Flores/Vargas 2-1 (17-21, 21-10, 15-11).

Finally, another Honduran pair, Bruhier/Briceño, claimed thirteenth place with a 2-0 (21-13, 21-4) victory over Jamaica's Lumsden/Johnson.
