Vincent goes home.
Assistant Coach Henry Matthew was oozing with confidence at the
end of the game. ”We are well on course to achieving our main
objective and that is to come out on top and move on to the next
round. The girls had a comfortable all round game with
improvement in the service area when compared to the first game.
In the third game we tried to use some of our younger players
who are just coming into the team but we were in control
throughout “, he stated
The statistics on the individual scoresheet support Matthew’s
claim of a good all-round game. The offense was spread so that
Nyota Peters scored 11 Naheemah Wilson and Sharon Payne each had
9 while Kwansia Carr chipped in with 7.
Cluevvan Cumberbach was still down in the mouth. “ Of course I
am a little bit disappointed and a little down right down as we
did not even come away with a win. Our girls played hard so they
will be sad not to have one on further. We definitely have to
double our efforts in preparation for these tournaments”, he
said.
None of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines players had a score
worthy of note
