GUATEMALA CITY, Guatemala, April 5, 2011 – Following the succesful opening tournament of the 2011 NORCECA Beach Volleyball Circuit held at Seven Miles Beach in Grand Cayman last week, the tour now continues its march to Campo Marte in Guatemala City where 35 teams will be competing in both genders.

The event is scheduled through April 8-10 with the participation of 18 men’s duos and 17 women’s pairs representing 15 countries. The official entry list was revealed by NORCECA Beach Volleyball Department on Tuesday.

Last year’s winners in Guatemala were Cubans Karel Pena and Sergio Gonzalez in the men’s division and Canadians Katherine Zakrzewski and Julie Rodrigue in the women’s side. Pena is among the participants in the second stop to defend the title but this time playing with new partner Javier Jimenez.
