Seminar for Setters held in Costa Rica
SAN JOSE, Costa Rica, April 15, 2012 – A three-day seminar for
setters was organized by the Costa Rica National Federation
under the supervision of the FIVB Regional Development Center in
Dominican Republic from April 11-14.
A total of 42 coaches from the seven countries of Central
America took part in the seminar addressed by FIVB Instructor
Alejandro Arconada of Argentina.
All the seven National Federations of AFECAVOL sub-zone received
the support of NORCECA Confederation who sponsored the
participation of ten of the coaches.
“The seminar was a complete success and the participants had the
opportunity to exchange ideas with Mr. Arconada,” vice director
of the Center, Ms. Yoana Mota said.
This seminar forms part of the NORCECA Development Plan and the
objective is to increase the technical level of the coaches
across the region and the preparation of the national teams for
the 2012 World Championships qualification tournaments.
The objective of the celebration of these seminars and courses
in different countries is to increase the number of participants
from the nearest National Federations and it has proved to be a
positive decision by the FIVB Regional Development Center in
Dominican Republic under the direction of Professor Nelson
Ramirez. |
