President of NORCECA attends opening of Data Volley Seminar
TIJUANA, Mexico, April 24 2012 – NORCECA President and FIVB
First Executive Vice President Cristobal Marte Hoffiz, attended
the opening ceremony of the Data Volley and Video Technical
Seminar that began in Mexico on Tuesday.
The Seminar takes place at the Baja California High Performance
Center, where 44 members from 14 different federations are
participating to be instructed on the operation of this
important tool that will contribute in the development of the
game in many countries of Latin America and the Caribbean area.
“Development is the name of the game, NORCECA is an open
confederation for all our affiliates as well as to all the
countries that want to be part of this effort for the good of
our sport”, said Marte Hoffiz.
“In the first course we provided the necessary keys to a total
of 20 countries that participated and now we will add the keys
and software to more federations like US Virgin Islands, Saint
Kitts and Belize.”.
Along with the NORCECA President, also was Saul Castro Verdugo,
General Director of the Baja California Sports and Physical
Culture Institute, who welcomed all the participants and wished
them a successful experience.
Meanwhile, Mexican Volleyball Federation Vice President, Alberto
Arreola, represented its President Ismael Acosta. The Federation
was recognized during the ceremony for the effort of bringing
this course to this city that attracted visitors from other
parts of the world like South Korea.
The course will conclude on Friday April 27 just before the
beginning of the Women’s Continental Olympic Qualifying
Tournament that will take place at this same stage. |
