Argentina finishes in 9th place

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, July 13, 2018 – Argentina defeated Mexico 3-1 (23-25, 25-22, 25-22, 25-19) in the match for the 9-10 positions of the Women’s Volleyball Pan American Cup on Friday.

Paula Nizetich and Elina Rodríguez each scored 18 points in the victory while Lucia Fresco and Julieta Lazcano added 12 and 11, respectively.

Andrea Rangel and Samantha Bricio finished with 14 and 10 points, respectively, for Mexico.

Mexico won the battle at the net with 12 blocks against 5 by the winners who had 65 attacks to 41 by the defeated side.

Clarissa Sagardia, the setter for Argentina, had four of the five blocks of her team.
