Argentina keeps Costa Rica at bay
SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, July 12, 2018 – Argentina
cruised past Costa Rica in straight sets 3-0 (25-16, 25-13,
25-12) in a consolation match for the 9th to 12th positions of
the Women’s Volleyball Pan American Cup.
The Argentineans who had played three five-set matches in the
previous four days controlled the contest from the very
beginning while the coach Guillermo Orduna fielded a team
consisting mostly of substitute players.
Antonella Fortuna and Brenda Graff each scored 12 points as the
offensive leaders for Argentina while Anahi Tosi and Agostina
Soria chipped in with 10 apiece.
Tannia Carazo and Mijal Hines scored 9 and 6 points,
respectively, for Costa Rica. |
