the same total of Diana Arrechea, the most productive player of
the Colombians, followed by Ivonne Montano, who had 9.
Guillermo Orduna, Coach of Argentina: “Colombia presented
resistance as we also tested some players to solidify some
positions. It was good to go from less to more and play to the
level we want, even though we want more.”
Yamila Nizetich, Captain of Argentina: “They (Colombians)
battled for every ball and you have to give credit. We didn’t
start concentrated but from the second set on we did the job.”
Mauro Marasciulo, Coach of Colombia: “It is source of pride to
play a game like today against the Argentinean, especially in
the first set. We have it there but couldn’t close the same like
against United States in the third set. It is very important to
have these opportunities to develop the girls for the future of
the senior national team.”
María Alejandra Marín, Captain of Colombia: “We could have had a
better game, even though our rivals have a lot of experience and
now is when we are getting it. We hope to have a good game
against Puerto Rico.” |
