				LIMA, Peru, June 19, 2015 – Argentina defeated a resilient 
				Canada 3-1 (25-20, 25-20, 23-25, 25-21) on Friday advancing to a 
				semifinal contest with defending champions Dominican Republic at 
				XIV Women’s Volleyball Pan American Cup.   
				
				Veteran Emilce Sosa registered 17 points, including six blocks, 
				to lead the Argentinean triumph. Yamile Nizetich and Florencia 
				Busquets contributed 15 and 10 points in the victory, while 
				Lucia Fresco and Josefina Fernandez each finished with 8 points.   
				
				Tabhita Love led all the players in the match with 20 points 
				leading four Canadians with double digits in the scores. Kyla 
				Richey had 14 while Lucille Charuk and Jaimie Thibault had 11 
				and 10, respectively, in the loss.   
				
				Argentina held a 14-7 advantage in blocks while Canada had the 
				top hand in aces 9-3.   
				
				Emilce Sosa, player of Argentina: “I think Canada is a good team 
				and studied us very well for the match, but we were able to 
				answer back. We recovered from their blocking, which took us out 
				of concentration, and in the fourth set we came back with out 
				attacks.”   
				
				Guillermo Orduna, coach of Argentina: “Canada is a team that if 
				you give them a break they can beat you. In the third set our 
				level of concentration went down. Luckily we recovered it back 
				and could close the set.”   
				
				Brittney Page, captain of Canada: “We caught the rhythm too 
				late. In the third set we got back our confidence and that’s why 
				we won it. We couldn’t keep the rhythm and it let to the loss. 
				We still need to improve our tactics.”   
				
				Arnd Ludwig, coach of Canada: “I think we got into our game too 
				late and when we reacted Argentina was in control of the game.”
