GATINEAU, Canada, August 17, 2010 – Hard-hitting Cuba came out
much stronger today at the NORCECA junior men’s volleyball
championships defeating a spirited St-Lucia squad 25-10, 25-10,

Gonzalez Garcia 10. The Cubans are now 2-0 in pool B round
robin play.
“We played better today but we are expecting more from our
players,” said Cuba’s head coach Garcia Garcia Roberto.
“St.Lucia played very well and they have a potentially great
player in Julian Bissette. It’s good to see the development of
Caribbean volleyball.”
“We are getting ready,” said Taylor. “We know the next games
are going to be harder and we are going to have to fight hard on
the court. We will be more aggressive.”
Bissette sparkled on the court scoring 10 points for St. Lucia
which falls to 0-2. St. Lucia is competing for the first time
at this tournament. |
