BVB courts construction in Veracruz advances
VERACRUZ, Mexico, November 23, 2014. – With four days left of
the double gender Beach Volleyball tournament at the XXII
Central American and Caribbean Games, an inspection by the
NORCECA Control Committee took place on Sunday to check out the
advances in the BVB courts construction at Magic Kingdom Park in
Veracruz.
The assemblage of the courts, the stands and work areas is
ongoing as expected, under the supervision of the Director of
Operations of the Organizing Committee of Veracruz (COVER)
Architect Gabriel. Arquieta is no stranger of the standards
required by NORCECA, as he was in charge of this task during the
Pan-American Games of Guadalajara 2011.
“My goal is to develop sport venues in accordance with the
scenery of each site available, under the strict supervision of
the Venue Operation Director Cesar Osuna, taking care of the
layout for Beach Volleyball” said Arquieta.
Magic Kingdom Park will have the capacity of 1300 seats which
are under construction. The process of spreading sand properly
is also underway.
Director of Competition Arnaldo Sanchez gave his impressions
after the inspection “the instructions of evenly laying out the
sand, putting the poles for the nets, and the court’s layout are
in progress. I’m satisfied with the advances from our previous
inspection, having always in mind the ideal conditions for the
competition”.
Each member of the control committee evaluated their work areas,
making a check-list for the tasks for forthcoming days. |
